Love and Perversion

Where do we stand when we are confronted by those that tell us that we are not showing love when we tell those who are practicing perversion, that they are committing sin in the eyes of God, irregardless as to how society of today sees it? Everywhere we turn we are faced with someone who thinks that what the Bible says is hate, and yet these very same people want to force those of us that disagree with them, to think their way and accept whatever it is that they want to do irregardless of the fact that it is something that will cost us our eternal lives.  How do you explain to those who think that love is giving someone everything that they want?

Inherently that is where the problem lies don’t you think? The difference between providing everything for someone whether they want it or need it. Forcing them to take what you believe that they need, regardless of the cost to society as a whole or the substance of the person. When we are little children we need that level of care. When we mature, we are supposed to learn to provide for ourselves and make decisions based on what is best for us.

When we try to force citizenry into a society that relies on the elite to decide what we need, and to provide it with the strings that are involved, we revert the citizens to children with no right or opportunity to decide either their future, or their condition. It all becomes a decision of the elites who are in charge of the system. It doesn’t even matter if those in charge are more intelligent or caring than the individual, only that they have the power. Once someone has power over you, to decide if you live, work, or have needed medical care. Or even how you teach your children, practice your faith, or even treat others around you, you become a slave to the system.

Ants are wonderful and most industrious. They have their classes, workers, drones, nursery keepers, etc. Then they have the queen who decides what each one will be. That is all well and good for ants, but is that what we as humans desire? That is the end result of a society that has a certain few at the very top, with all the rest dependent on those at the top for everything. A society of slaves with no opportunity to decide their own fate.

Political correctness and stifling the most basic of humanity in order to force people to fit into someone’s idea of perfection is a recipe for disaster for the future of not only the citizens of this county, but for the future of the very world that they proclaim that they are trying to save. Forcing others to share your values, if your values are contrary to what others believes can only be made with force. We have only to look to Muslim countries and countries like Great Britain and Sweden to see where this type of future is headed.

The difference in Christian principles and others is free will! As Christians, yes, we believe that homosexuality is a perversion, we also believe that adultery, drunkenness, drug use, and many other things are sin. We don’t try to make you change your ways. That is not our job! We don’t even judge you regardless of what you think. True Christians are not hate-filled like the Westboro bunch. We simply warn you of the costs of your actions. No different that telling someone that smoking can cause cancer. The thing is that you do not want to hear. So you put your hands over your ears and start calling names. Like the young child, you don’t want to accept the consequences of your actions.

And that is the very same reason that you try to force all others to accept your idea of the perfect society. By forcing your beliefs and desires on the public as a whole, you don’t have to grow up. You can remain a child with your fairy tale beliefs that if you can just force others to do what you want, everything will be perfect.

Unfortunately, it is an illusion that will only lead to your death. Whether death at the hands of invaders like those who are currently killing homosexuals, and whomever disagree’s with their ideas, in the Middle East, or invaders that are currently along our southern border pushing drugs and smuggling children, or eternal death when you finally face the ultimate judge, our Lord and Savior. Because irregardless of whether you believe in what you push on the rest of us or not, it is a sin. And you may not like to hear it. That is beside the point. True love means explaining to our children that their actions are going to hurt them.

I love you, and therefore I am doing what Jesus instructed, I am loving you just as I would my own children. Sin is not acceptable to the Lord. The only way to His promise of eternal life and the only escape from eternal damnation is to accept Him as your savior. It is your choice to make. We can only make the offer. If you expect us to choose to believe the way that you do in order to get along with you, you are selling yourselves and us, very short. You are expecting us to look at a short term future when we are looking at eternity. Death and pain on this plane are temporary. Pain and suffering for those who decide to accept your wishes, are eternal.

The Lord is our strength, He is our rock, our protector. He doesn’t protect our now, this is temporary, He protects our tomorrow.  The question is do you really want to remain a child and try to force your ways upon everyone else or are you interested in what eternity offers. Are you will to settle for temporary satisfaction or true love, which will you choose?

Whatever you have done in the past in not too terrible to accept Jesus as your Savior. You see when you accept Him, and you give your life to Him, all that is in your past is washed away by the blood that He shed on the cross. It is forgotten as if it never was, that is the promise and He always keeps His promises.

So which is it going to be? Are you more interested in remaining a child, or would you rather grow up and get the rewards of being an adult. Is it truly worth it to you to force others to do your will? Is a temporary pleasure worth more than eternity? Do not be mistaken in the meaning of love, love is not giving someone everything they want. Love is caring enough about someone to explain to them that what they are doing is going to cost them their eternal lives. Or would you give your child a bottle of whiskey and force them to drink it and then hand them the keys to your car? Consider wisely and ask yourself which is truly more important, love or perversion, sin or acceptance into the perfection that will come with the return of Jesus?

1 Corinthians 13:11

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

  1. Hello Loopyloo! You are right on point. Unfortunately, most Christians do not think like that. It is either their way or the highway. Thanks so much for sharing this, my friend.

PS: Have yourself a Merry, Merry Christmas

    • Sadly, there are those who are so rigid on so many issues that all they do is talk past each other! God bless you Noel and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

  2. Excellent article LL! If only more Believers thought this way. So many are so busy attacking others for their “perceived” wrong beliefs instead of attempting to support and encourage other Believers. So sad…and so unnecessary.
While the world at large looks on us as hate mongers.

God bless you Patricia and Merry Christmas!

Wonderful article by LoopyLoo, grab a cup of coffee and give it a read. More Believers ought to think this way.
