A Call Out to the Abusers!

abuse

This statistic was given to me and I want to share with all of you…

70% OF ABUSIVE MEN COME FROM VIOLENT HOMES!!!

The cycle of abuse has to be broken for the sake of our future generations. We all need to evaluate our own hearts, scanning every part to realize how we actually treat people. Do we yell and scream and lash out verbally?  Do we act out in anger? Do we react with threats and  violence? Do we want our own children to be abused or violent abusers? Think about it!! The cycle of abuse has to be broken!!!! We need to treat people the way that we would want to be treated!

This is a different message…
A CALL OUT TO THE ABUSERS!!
Though you may deny the problem,
you are bullies and users.
How can you claim to love someone,
and vow with a wedding band?
then yell, scream and shout…
now, this I don’t understand!

How can you say you love her,
and hit her with your hand?
Getting angry over little things…
and declaring that you re the man!
How can you hit your small child,
who should be cherished so grand?
For a child is a gift from God…
this abuse, I don’t understand!

How can you molest a child,
with playgrounds you will scan?
Totally stealing their innocence,
like marking them like a brand!
How can you molest your own child,
who should be protected by your hand.
not victims of rape and incest…
again, I just don’t understand!

How can you abuse your wife
and pretend to be a loving man?
Acting gentle and kind in public,
but at home, abusive reprimands!
How can you attack any woman,
with sex you will demand…
a woman has a right to say NO!
It’s rape and I just don’t understand.

Verbal, emotional, physical, sexual…
all abuses whether or not planned!
Treating others with resentment and anger,
It’s problem all across this land.
How can a boss abuse a worker,
with destructive schemes planned,
It’s workplace and financial abuse,
again, I just don’t understand.

How can you blame your victims,
leaving them bruised and stranded.
Denying you have any problems,
your innocence you’ve commanded.
Then how can you harass your victim,
with a Protective Order in hand?
Pretending laws don’t apply to you…
  all this, I don’t understand.

ABUSERS, I pray that you heed this call,
and your own heart you will scan.
For God loves all His children,
and He wants healing across this land.
Treating others, the way we want to be treated!!!
The Golden Rule still stands!!
Treating all with kindness and respect,
now this is I understand.

Healing and redemption is available…
for all of us you see.
For God sent His Only Son,
and He is the Key!
Jesus Christ heals and redeems,
and can set us all free.
No more anger, guilt, or shame…
like a new identity.

So please heed this call…
and turn to Christ today.
Ask Him into your heart…
and there He will forever stay.
He will change your life…
for He makes all things new.
So ask Him into your heart…
and just see what He will do.

The Golden Rule (Matthew 7:12) says,  “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.”

I Corinthians 13:4-8a,13 says,  “Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth.  Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails. Now abide faith, hope and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Dear Lord, I pray that all your people will be healed and delivered of their pasts, victims as well as the abusers who were once victims. I pray that this cycle of abuse be broken now in Jesus’ name and that our next generation will be free of this devastation that is affecting our families and people around the world. Turn hearts to You Lord and set us all free from bondage. Help us to be “Christ-like” in love and to treat each other as You have taught us as we follow Your lead… Lord, we declare that the cycle of abuse be broken and the captives set free…    in Jesus’ name. Amen
