Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD: “The LORD looked down from His sanctuary on high, from heaven He viewed the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.” So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and His praise in Jerusalem when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the LORD. Psalm 102:18-22
Isaiah 9:2-7 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as men rejoice when dividing the plunder. For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor. Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire. For to usa child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. Andhe will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
Comfort, comfort my people says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.
A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
A voice says “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?”
“All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”
“You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, ” Here is your God!” See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? Who has understood the mind of the Lord, or instructed him as his counselor? Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him in the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding?
Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. Lebanon is not sufficient for the alter fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings. Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing.
To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to? As for an idol, a craftsman casts it, a goldsmith overlays it with gold and fashions silver chains for it. A man too poor to present such an offering selects wood that will not rot. He looks for a skilled craftsman to set up an idol that will not topple.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded? He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.
“To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One. Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.
Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God”? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
A Prayer of David
Hear a just cause, O LORD
Attend to my cry;
Give ear to my prayer that is not from deceitful lips.
Let my vindication come from Your presence;
Let Your eyes look on the things that are upright.
You have tested my heart;
You have visited me in the night;
You have tried me and have found nothing;
I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
Concerning the works of men,
By the word of Your lips,
I have kept myself from the paths of the destroyer.
Uphold my steps in Your paths,
That my footsteps may not slip.
I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God;
Incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech.
Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand,
O You who save those who trust in You
From those who rise up against them.
Keep me as the apple of Your eye;
Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,
From the wicked who oppress me,
From my deadly enemies who surround me.
They have closed up their fat hearts;
With their mouths they speak proudly.
They have now surrounded us in our steps;
They have set their eyes, crouching
down to earth,
And as a young lion lurking in secret places.
Arise, O LORD,
Confront him, cast him down;
Deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword,
With Your hand from men, O LORD,
From men of the world who have their
portion in this life,
And whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure.
They are satisfied with children,
And leave the rest of their substance for their babes.
As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness;
I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Psalms 34:4 “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all myfears. 5 They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. 6 This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the Lord encamps all around…

We have a responsibility as followers of Christ to defend the Bible and correct misquotations and deliberate manipulations of His Word –1 Peter 3:15– and in his post, Mr. Turner used a partial quote in order to fit his agenda. I do not know this man but in reading his post the intent is clear. The complete verse, Matthew 22:21 They said to Him, Ceasar’s.” And He said to them, “Render therefore to Ceasar the things that are Ceasar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
The intent of Jesus is clear here, He was asked about paying taxes. He made clear taxes were the product of man and government, God doesn’t require taxes. God does have a part in marriage. God was clear about that as well. Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall…

No matter how much man desires to redefine marriage to fit their agenda, God laid out the reasoning for marriage. And it is impossible for two people of the same sex to ever meet that definition. Marriage is a joining with a possibility and probability of a living outcome. Science is something that those who promote gay marriage, continually complain that Christians deny. And yet here they are the ones perverting science in order that they may feed their desires.
Matthew 19:4-10 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? “So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not…

This is an update, Betty has declined treatment and is going on hospice care!!!
his is a prayer request for my niece Betty! She has been diagnosed with lung cancer, stage 4. They have given her no hope and only palliative care. We know that there is always hope. Our hope rests in the hands of the Creator. He has given us instruction to bring our requests to Him in prayer and to ask in the name of Christ. That is what I am asking all of you to do as well. Thank you my friends and God bless you all!
“Lord, you know how Betty is suffering and the pain that she is in, we come before you to ask for healing, body and soul, in the name of your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! We ask that You lead her in the direction she needs to go! We ask that you ease her pain as much as possible! We ask for Your strength for Betty, and for all the family. We love you Lord! We give you praise and glory! Amen”
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here's an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 15,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 6 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
